Tim Chantarangsu
Paramount, CAWelcome to the mind of a super genius renaissance man who isn't scared to take risks and challenge the norm. The YouTube community knows me as TimothyDeLaGhetto. Fans of my music may know me as Traphik. My parents know me as the kid that spends too much time making internet videos to actually get a degree and move out. As an young man in an Asian household, it's difficult to tell your parents that you'd rather be famous than be a doctor or lawyer, but with over 70,000 subscribers on YouTube, over 20 million video views, and being ranked the #7 unsigned rapper in California by MySpace, my parents have gotten used to the idea that their little boy probably won't be applying for med school anytime soon. Ever since I was a little boy with a bowl cut, I knew that my calling in life was to entertain. Whether I'm giving relationship advice, rapping off the top of my head, or riding around the beach on a tiny tricycle, I will do me best to bring a smile to your face. With my videos, I try to have fun while breaking the stereotype of the karate kicking, math problem solving Asian guy that we've all grown used to, which is probably why my parody of Estelle's American boy entitled "First Asian Boy" has been my biggest hit to date. I had to let the ladies know that sexy Asian dudes like myself are the latest craze. No stranger to rap parodies, my friends and I at PDFlo Films produced the viral classic Kings of MySpace which became an anthem for everyone who was a MySpace addict. I just released my album "Rush Hour" and am working on a big movie project which will be released in the summer.
